Indications

Procedure
- Your own fat cells are removed from a donor site (abdomen or buttock) and injected into the area to be filled out (contour defect, wrinkle or fold)
Recovery
- Mild to moderate swelling peaks at 2 days and disappears rapidly over the following 3 weeks
- Minimal pain or bruising
- Return to work within 3 to 4 days. More strenuous activity within 1 week
Result
- Designed to be a permanent correction. However, there is a variable degree of resorption in the transplanted fat, resulting in a loss of volume of between 20- 70%
- The procedure may need to be repeated one or two times to achieve the degree of permanent correction desired
Risks
- Bruising, infection, contour irregularity
